Closure Plan Due to Covid 19 -As a result of growing concerns related to the coronavirus and to help ensure the safety and well being of all staff and students, MBS will be closed for students as of Monday, March 16, 2020. All teachers and students will transition to their online learning plans that have been created and teachers will be available online Monday through Friday for interactions with students between the hours of 8:30 - 12:30 each day. This plan will remain in place for at least the next two weeks and then we will re-evaluate the situation. For planning purposes, the earliest date the school would re-open is Monday, March 30.
One of the many issues that we are dealing with as a result of the school closure is grading and report cards. At this time, no definitie decisions have been made, but once that happens, a separate message will go out to all families with an explanation. For now, we will be closing the parent portal in Real Time to allow teachers to continue collecting and organizing assessment data to the extent possible. Teachers will continue providing students with feedback using Google Classroom and email.
The school will be closed for all teachers and support staff, except for custodians. However, the staff is fully equipped to work remotely from home, so if you have any questions or concerns, please send them via email.
