We will begin January by reviewing rules, routines and class procedures. We will settle back into our academics with reviewing content taught prior to our winter break. Topics discussed during this month include the season of winter, hibernation and cold weather animals.
Ideas For Home
- Continue reading daily with your child. Some seasonal titles include: "The Hat" & "The Mitten" by, Jen Bret; "The Biggest Snowman Ever", by Steven Kroll; "Hibernation Station" by, Michelle Meadows
- Let your child help set the table for dinner: Have him/her count out the members of the family then get the correct amount of plates, utensils, napkins.
- Let your child help with the laundry: Have him/her sort and pair matching socks. Use this opportunity to discuss size, color, patterns etc
