School Board Candidacy and Voter Information





    There are three seats, each for a three-year term and one seat for a one-year term, that will be available in this year’s School Board Election. The deadline to file nominating petitions with the County Clerk is 4:00 p.m., July 30 for the annual school election on November 6.  The term of office will begin the first week in January 2019.  Petitions are available in the Board Office of the School or the County Clerk’s Office, 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold.  Petitions must be returned to the County Clerk's Office.

    Prospective school board candidates can download candidate information from the New Jersey School Boards Association’s web site at NJSBA School Board Candidate Kit. The School Board Candidate Kit includes information about nominating petitions, legal qualifications for school board candidacy, and the role of the school board member.  Information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act and important dates in the school election process are also included.
