Christopher Harris, Director of Special Services & Assistant Principal
Prior to joining Monmouth Beach School, Christopher Harris was the Director of Technology & Innovation at Pennsauken Public Schools, a Pre-K to 12 public school district serving over 5000 students located in southern New Jersey. He was also the Principal for the Burling School, a K-4 Elementary school housing regular and special education programs. Mr. Harris was responsible for creating and executing the district technology plan, as well as, the day-to-day operations of the Burling School. Prior to joining Pennsauken Public Schools, he served as the Principal of Mercer Elementary School, a grade 3-8 special needs’ school at Mercer County Special Services School District (MCSSSD) and the Principal of the Salem Campus at Salem County Special Services School District (SCSSSD), where he created and oversaw special needs’ educational and vocational programs for students aged 5 through 21. Before becoming principal within MCSSSD and SCSSSD, Mr. Harris was the Assistant Principal at Salem County Vocational Technical Schools (SCVTS) in Woodstown NJ.
Mr. Harris is a co-organizer of SpEdcamp New Jersey, and formerly an organizer of EdCamp New Jersey. Mr. Harris is also the Future Ready Schools New Jersey Leadership Task Force Co-Chair and a member of the Rider University College of Education and Human Services Technology Advisory Board.
Mr. Harris earned a Master's Degress in Educational Leadership as well as a Bachelor of Science degree both from The College of New Jersey. He holds a Standard Principal Certificate as well as the a Certificate of Eligibility as a Chief School Administrator.
