SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE INFORMATION

There are three seats that are each for a three-year term and a fourth seat for a one-year unexpired term, available in this year’s School Board Election.

Petitions for school board candidates are available by telephone or email request by contacting the County Clerk’s Elections office at 732-431-7790 or clerkofelections@co.monmouth.nj.us. Petitions are also available on the New Jersey School Board Association website, www.njsba.org (NJSBA School Board Candidate Kit). The School Board Candidate Kit includes information about nominating petitions, legal qualifications for school board candidacy, and the role of the school board member.  Information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act and important dates in the school election process are also included. School Board petitions for the November School Election must be filed with the Clerk of Elections office located at 300 Halls Mill Road in Freehold no later than 4 pm on Monday, July 25, 2022.
